Parishad have decided to hold jagrans in the city to discuss issues they think “are a threat to Hindu religion.”

The organisations, in a press release said, that “all Muslim artistes will be boycotted from Hindu religious functions and devotees attending the jagrans must have a tilak on their foreheads.”

The decisions were taken in a meeting In

on Wednesday that was attended by many right-wing groups. Speaking to TOI, convenor of Bajrang Dal Vikas Verma said that around 200 people attended the meeting.

“We need to make people aware of what is happening in places like Bengal where the leader is pandering to just one community

who are nothing but infiltrators for votes,” he said. Verma said that they will “boycott Muslim singers and promote Hindu artistes.” The group also alleged that they have sent around 10,000 postcards to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. “Each activist has sent at least 20-30 postcards with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ written on it and every volunteer is also urging a dozen other families to do the same.”
